Summer 2009

  • Festival fever will hit Kingston this July with the opening of the first International Youth Arts Festival. The packed programme includes local, national and international groups, from the spectacular, spear-carrying Zulu Warriors of South Africa, to the festival’s own enchanting production of Pendragon – a musical based on the early years of King Arthur featuring a talented cast of young local actors. Created by young people to showcase the very best in youth arts, there's a fantastic choice of activities and shows for people of all ages to enjoy with comedy, dance, storytelling, puppetry, band nights, vocal and instrumental ensembes and innovative theatre all represented. Tickets on sale from the Rose Theatre, Visitor Information Centre, Market House, and other participating venues. Visit www.iyafestival.org
