Air Raid Patrol (ARP) posts were located in the different districts of Kingston. They were small buildings of brick and with telephones. Equipment and had to be manned day and night. ARP wardens quite often had to do 8 hour shifts in dimly lit and poorly ventilated conditions.

Q. What is the sign in the front telling us?

A. "All Clear". There are no unexploded bombs or unsafe areas ahead.
